Glasgow University- Widening Participation

Over the last 6 months, many pupils have engaged with Glasgow University through their Widening Participation Program or the Early Secondary Program. For those in the Junior School, this provided an opportunity for pupils to engage with tutors from the University and to ask questions/ receive advice in terms of their subject choices.

For Senior pupils, after participating in number of in- school sessions and attending a campus day at The University, they were set a written assignment to complete. As well as the written assignment, pupils are also assessed in a number of other ways throughout the in- school tutor sessions. Upon passing this academic program, successful pupils will then be entitled to an adjusted offer from The University of Glasgow. This will support them on their journey towards achieving their goal of attending university.

Well done to all who participated in the programs this session- we look forward to welcoming The University of Glasgow back into Hamilton Grammar School next session.
