Pathways Evening – Wednesday 23rd October, 7pm

This evening will be a chance for parents/carers to hear information to help pupils with their choices in school and beyond.
The range of options for young people on leaving school is constantly changing and, as a result, our curriculum is evolving to meet this challenge. The Pathways Evening will offer an opportunity to learn about how the pathways pupils follow in school can prepare them for the choices they will face when they leave.
On the evening, staff from the school and from the careers service, Skills Development Scotland, will present information on;
• Destinations for young people on leaving school, and the pathways to these.
• New programmes such as Gradu8 and Foundation Apprenticeships which are available to pupils as part of their curriculum.
• The role of Skills Development Scotland and their advisers in school.
• The options choice processes for pupils moving into S4 and into S5/6.
