Nominations are now open for the Wider Achievement Awards – if you feel that you or a friend is worthy of an award for contributions to a sports team, for volunteering, for fundraising for a charity or for any other achievement please see Mrs Colbourne or Mrs Goring for a nomination sheet.
We’d like to remind everyone of 2 fundraising initiatives currently be run by our Parent Council.
Easy Fundraising is a free service that allows charities and good causes to raise money when their supporters shop online with over 2,700 retailers, including Amazon, John Lewis, Next and Argos. It’s free to sign up and you pay exactly the same price as you would normally, including any special offers.
For every purchase made through the link, the retailer will donate a small percentage to our school funds.
You’ll find our Easy Fundraising page here. We’d really appreciate it if you used this link when buying any gifts online this year.
Hamilton Grammar Parent Council proudly present their Comedy Night hosted by Des McLean & Friends.
This promises to be a fabulous night of comedy entertainment to chase away those new year blues, so why not buy tickets for your family, friends, neighbours or even teachers for Christmas?

Between June 23rd and July 2nd 18 of our departing S6 pupils enjoyed the experience of a lifetime as they volunteered in the town of Woe, Ghana. Working between 2 schools in the local community they taught lessons, moulded bricks for a new school block and finished construction of a perimeter wall.
They blogged about their experience which you can read here. You can also watch their trip video here.
We need your help!
HGS is involved in an exciting project called Polli-nation which is tasked with adapting our school space to encourage wildlife.
We are looking for helpers during the construction phase over the next two terms. We plan to construct bug hotels and green walls filling them with plants. If you feel like you can help us please contact Mrs Michelle Colbourne at the school.
