Eco Flag Success

Hamilton Grammar School are delighted to announce that they have been awarded Eco School status for another two years. This is the school’s 7th Green Flag award which is a first for secondary schools in South Lanarkshire Council and only one of four secondary schools in the whole of Scotland to reach this achievement.

The award would not be possible without the hard work of the Eco Club, Community Committee and our parent partners as well as the continued effort of the pupils and staff.

Well done to everyone involved!

Parent Council Updates

We’d like to remind everyone of 2 fundraising initiatives currently be run by our Parent Council.

Easy Fundraising

Easy Fundraising is a free service that allows charities and good causes to raise money when their supporters shop online with over 2,700 retailers, including Amazon, John Lewis, Next and Argos. It’s free to sign up and you pay exactly the same price as you would normally, including any special offers.

For every purchase made through the link, the retailer will donate a small percentage to our school funds.

You’ll find our Easy Fundraising page here. We’d really appreciate it if you used this link when buying any gifts online this year.

Comedy Night
Hamilton Grammar Parent Council proudly present their Comedy Night hosted by Des McLean & Friends.

This promises to be a fabulous night of comedy entertainment to chase away those new year blues, so why not buy tickets for your family, friends, neighbours or even teachers for Christmas?

You can find our more on their Facebook event page.

Getting Involved

Polli-nation

We need your help!

HGS is involved in an exciting project called Polli-nation which is tasked with adapting our school space to encourage wildlife.

We are looking for helpers during the construction phase over the next two terms. We plan to construct bug hotels and green walls filling them with plants. If you feel like you can help us please contact Mrs Michelle Colbourne at the school.
