Over the summer we had a 2 great new additions to our PE facilities, a dance studio and an outdoor gym. We understand that it’s important for pupils to know how to use the outdoor equipment correctly, so we’ve put together a playlist of instructional videos explaining how to use each piece of equipment. Pupils will also be shown this as part of their PE lessons over the coming weeks.

- How to prepare your son or daughter for interview.
Pupils who have reached school leaving age may be entitled to Education Maintenance Allowance – EMA. Applications for EMA can now be made online via the link on the South Lanarkshire Council website. This is the preferred route for applications. The link is https://www.southlanarkshire.gov.uk/info/200188/secondary_school_information/158/education_maintenance_allowance_-_financial_help_for_senior_pupils
This link also allows you to print out a copy of the application form and guidance notes. There is a small number of forms available in the school office for applicants who are unable to complete the form online or print it out.
EMA payments depend on pupils maintaining good attendance and timekeeping as well as abiding by the conditions in their learning contract.
As the end of term rapidly approaches we’re delighted to share our final newsletter of the session.
Remember that all previous newsletters are available through Glow.
School finishes at 1 pm on Thursday 28th June and we reopen to pupils bright and early on Thursday 16 August 2018. Senior pupils who are due to receive their results on 7th August should make sure they’re familiar with the Post Results Service information, available here.
If a school or college has concerns about a candidate’s grade for National 5, Higher or Advanced Higher qualifications, they can request a clerical check or marking review. Please note that results services can only be used if the school is concerned that a marking error may have affected the grade awarded by SQA.
The timeline of events is available here; please ensure you are familiar with the document before the SQA results are released.
