On Wednesday 21st February 17 schools (280 pupils) competed at the annual South Lanarkshire Dance Competition. Hamilton Grammar entered a team for the S1-3 category and a senior team. The competition is growing year in, year out and pupils across the authority continue to raise the bar.
Our S1-3 team performed a contemporary dance on mental health and our seniors’ theme was girl power. Both teams worked very hard to prepare for the show, rehearsing 4 times a week.
We are extremely pleased to announce that our S1-3 team won 1st place in their individual contemporary category and 1st place overall from hip hop, contemporary and mixed style. It was also a great effort from our seniors who performed an amazing routine, although not placing. Well done to all involved!
