As part of the school’s ongoing commitment to encouraging girls into the STEM sector, there was a STEMETTE Day last Friday. A Number of contributors volunteered their time to come into the school and offer workshops for our new S2 and S3 girls to participate in. The activities on the day ranged from costing a garden shed to using liquid nitrogen to freeze various objects. Pupils were able to learn the theory/ science behind a range of exciting activities.

Feedback from the female pupils has been very positive, and we will hope to run a similar event next session. Below is a small selection from the event, with more to follow.
